Here's hoping that the new more modern format brings a new wave of users. Good work.

I realize the old forum was beyond saving, but am going to miss it's simple layout, and threaded view, no sub-forums to go searching through, and even the black background. This one looks like any other forum found on the web, but will have to give it a chance before passing judgement.

For some reason (?) this new forum has lost it's appeal. Liked the "old" style BETTER.

True, all of that. Let's hope it works, met lots of friends via the old one and I feel sympathetic to any attempt to continue it.

I'll step out on a limb and say I think this new forum probably too different from the old to keep the interest of the older members, and needs some work to attract new users. I think others must be feeling the same, from the amount of activity showing, or rather, lack of.

Every time I visit, I find the forum setup irritating to use. Can the threads not be put into chronological order, or at least give users the ability to set their own display mode? The old forum offered the threaded view that allowed to follow like a conversation. This one is irritating in that you read the original post, then have to scroll to the bottom of the page or pages to find the first response, second, and scroll back up to follow the responses.

I checked vBulletin help forums, and apparently users should be able to set this in their personal settings, but can't find this option here. Maybe I missed it somewhere, or perhaps the option has been disabled.

As Larry mentioned, I have met a lot of friends via CMG and the old forum, and appreciate attempts to keep it going, so please take this as constructive criticism.

I think it was made pretty clear that the old Soapbox was unsustainable and there was no choice but to move on. I miss the old format, also, however I`m making an effort to come onto the new forum and see what`s going on. It`s the least the old timers can do to support CMG, IMHO.
