Call John Sharrard at: https://acceleratedtechnologies.ca/ about suspension lowering.

I am looking at the reverse -- raising the seat height on my R3. It is a bit cramped on the legs for someone my size. I have experience replacing seat covers using my air powered stapler. I have never tried custom carving seat foam and have no idea where to get decent closed cell foam from -- or new seat cover material for that matter. It should be a fun project if I knew where to start and source the materials.

I have a Seat Concepts seat on my WR and have installed them on friends bikes (KLX250 and F800GS) as well. They are great. Unfortunately, they don’t make anything for the R3 and their FAQ says that seats come from a liquid in a mold so they don’t do anything custom. I just need some foam to carve away at and it doesn’t look like they can offer that. Good reference though for anyone looking for a reasonably priced replacement seat. For the original poster, depending on the bike, they may offer a seat cut out more suitably for shorter riders. That won’t be as comfortable or effective as lowering the suspension but will likely be a lot cheaper.
